Are you staying committed to the task? You may ask yourself which task. I have so many. The task I am referring to is that one thing that you have set out to make sure that you do. The one thing that you do that helps to allow other things to flow through. It is and can be that one thing that determines the success of the many things we set out to achieve.
Staying Committed to the Task is Not Always Easy
It is easier to stay committed to the task when it is fun and easy. It is also easy to stay committed to the task when you see the benefits working in your favor but sometimes the payout is not fast and it seems like the effort you are putting in is not working. Those are the times that many of us are ready to give in and give up. If that sounds like you then this blog post was written with you in mind.
Measuring Your Progress
We are living in a time where instant gratification is almost expected. Many people start a business and or job looking to make lots of money overnight. To be fair, social media plays a huge role in this. They tend to hype the impossible and people believe it. If you were able to get the more honest version of the story behind someone’s success. It is simply that they chose to stay committed to the task. Sometimes that meant doing without. It may have meant restarting and readjusting expectations and plans. Seeing the Positive
This time of year is a great time to examine the topic of staying committed to the task. It is a great time to look at the year and see if you have stayed the course. There are so many things that could have or did get in your way so if you stayed committed to the task most of the time, I believe that is worthy of a celebration. Needless to say, I believe that you can celebrate almost anything if you look at it from a glass half full perspective.
As the calendar moves along, another year is coming to a close. Look at how you have used your time. Would you say that you stayed focused on the things that you have set out to do. Many times, we have good intentions but somehow life can and does get in the way. If you have fallen off track, remind yourself of what it is that you have committed to doing this year. Remember, it is never too late to reset and get back on track.

Staying committed to the task can be anything that you have prioritized in your life and have committed yourself to seeing it through. It can be as simple as getting up a few minutes earlier each morning or as detailed and elaborate as starting your own business. There is a real sense of accomplishment when you know that you have done what you have set out to do. It gives you a personal sense of satisfaction.
Time Moves Along
As we approach the last few weeks of this year, remember to reflect on the journey of the last eleven months. Time tends to speed by and before you know it another year is gone. We get caught up in the moments of each day and then we look up and wonder where the time went. May we all be mindful in this December that it is the art of staying committed to the task that was able to allow us to get through this year. No matter how busy, challenging and maybe even disappointing, we have stayed the course and for that we all deserve a round of applause! Until next time my readers, remember to continue to
