We have enjoyed our spring break, which seems like just yesterday lol. We just celebrated Mother’s Day. To those who are mothers or function as a mother, happy belated Mother’s Day. Allergies are kicking into high gear, and we are approaching Memorial Day weekend soon! Are you feeling spring in the air because I am.
I love this time of year. Everything is coming back to life. The lawns are turning green, and flowers are being planted. School is starting to wind down and all the festivities begin.
The spring concerts have begun and proms are on the horizon. High School graduates are finalizing their plans for college and decisions have been made. Parents are reflecting on how fast time flies as they prepare for graduations. Yes, spring is in the air.
If you have followed me for the last few months, then you should have already done your spring cleaning if not now is not too late. Head over to my blog post It’s Time for Spring Cleaning and read it to find helpful ways to spring clean your home.
If you have looked around and realized that your yard is not quite up for company, then a lawn care service might be of help to spruce up your outside. If you are running low on funds or would like to add a personal touch, head over to Home Depot or your local garden center. You can find a great assortment of flowers and greenery to add to your outdoor and indoor surroundings that will invite spring into your atmosphere.
If you are feeling really adventurous head on over to Target or Walmart and there you can find some great accent pieces to add to your outdoor space. If you are not able to find anything at those stores, another two options that I love are TJ Maxx and Marshalls. There are so many items to choose from and you can choose specific colors and themes to tie everything together.
All of your outdoor space is not complete if you have not tended to your grill. Make sure it is in working order and cleaned and ready for the season ahead. If your grill uses a propane tank check to see if it is low and in need of replacing, nothing worse than cooking and running out of gas (lol).
As we approach Memorial Day weekend, we are reminded of spring everywhere. It is important to take the time to enjoy the season before it is over. Take notice of everything that is now green and vibrant all around us. The different outdoor events taking place and how restaurants are setting up their outdoor dining. The boardwalk and beaches have also begun to open, Yay! We are able to stay outside now without coats and just enjoy the fresh air. There is a bit of freedom that comes with spring that I so enjoy.
This week we lost a very famous entertainer, “Tina Turner”. She was and will always be an inspiration to many. Her story of overcoming so much but pushing through is a testimony to many. So as we enter this Memorial Day weekend, may we count our blessings and remember those men and women who gave of themselves for this country, We are forever grateful and to the men in my family including my dad, uncle and cousins know that I am grateful for the sacrifice that you all have made on behalf of this United States of America. Until next time my readers continue to enjoy the season of this spring as we journey to …….living our dreams out loud.
